Lmya Ahmed, M.Ed.
"Ubuntu" is a South African philosophy which translates to "my humanity is inextricably linked to your humanity". Born in Sudan and raised in the DMV, Lmya came across this philosophy during her undergrad years at George Mason University while studying Public and Community Engagement, Women and Gender Studies, and Leadership. Lmya combines her interests in gender, human rights, social justice, self fluency, marginalized voices, and travel to help our youth realize these "inextricable links" and catapult themselves as change agents and global citizens. Lmya is a special education teacher by day and mother to a rebel in the making.
